Swansea's Tom Rees won Welsh Under 21's Event 2

Swansea's Tom Rees won this event in fine style including coming from 2-0 down against new I.B.S.F. World 6 Reds Champion Duane Jones at the quarter final stage. After Duane had made the highest break of the day 111, Tom came storming back with breaks of 53, 64 and 63 to take the match. He then put out junior international Ed Topham to reach the final.

Jamie Clarke, who had missed event 1 due to pre arranged holiday commitments showed his class by defeating event 1 winner Sam Thomas, then another fine win over junior international Jerry Connors put him into the final.

The final was avery close, high standard game which saw Tom Rees emerge a worthy winner aided by breaks of 73 and 44 to one of 56 by Jamie Clarke. These added to a string of useful breaks both players had produced throughout the day.
