IBSF - World Under 21s, Knockout Rounds First Day

All the Under 21s made it through the group stages, a tremendous achievement.

Tyler Rees got through in 7th spot, losing only 2 frames in 3 matches. Jackson Page took 15th, dropping only 4 frames in 4 matches. Dylan Emery must be pleased with 20th after, in his own words, he has been struggling a little with his form. 53rd in the rankings was where Ben Fortey finished up. Rhys Thomas took 60th and Ryan Rowlands 69th slot.

In the last 72, Ryan and Rhys were drawn against each other. As often happens in matches between players that know each other well, Ryan ran out the winner 4-0. However his last 64 match against Yuan Sijun went the other way by the same margin. Ben reached the last 32 with a 4-2 win against Simon Lichtenberg and now faces Irish player Adam Fitzgerald. Dylan had a convincing 4-0 win over Daniel Holoyda, Lukas Kleckers standing in the way of a place in the last 16. Jackson was also a 4-2 winner, Narongdat Takantong unable to keep Jackson under control, Patrik Tiihonen is tomorrows opponent. Tyler saw off the challenge of Ming Wa Man 4-2.
