Travish FurnishCardiff's Travis Furnish won this tournament to make it three out of three in Welsh Under 16 ranking events this season.

He reached the final after beating the improving Nathan Humphries in the semi final. Nathan enjoyed his best run in a Welsh event to date, having put out junior internationals Tyler Rees and Jac Wathan in earlier rounds.

Ryan Rowlands reached the final by defeating junior internationals Lewis Samuel and Rhydian Stringer, although he was given a fright when Lewis took the first frame of their quarter final match.

The Final

The final developed into a potting dual which suited Travis attacking style of play. Ryan drew level at 1-1 with an excellent 40 clearance but from then on it was all Travis as he ran out a 3-1 winner with the aid of an exhibition style 73 break in frame four.

This result sees Travis firmly cemented in as no#1 in the Under 16's ranking list followed by Lewis Samuel, Ryan Rowlands joint No#2 Rhydian Stringer 4, Suraj Singh 5, Ieuan Davies 6.

With one Under 16's event remaining several other players are still well in contention for a top six spot and a place in the Welsh Team for the Celtic Challenge and the Home International Championships.

The Plate

The plate competition was won by Jack Martin who beat Lewis Burke 2-1 on a re-spotted black in a very close hard fought final.
