Top Welsh referee selected for European Ladies Final

Top Welsh referee Peter Thomas from Aberfan topped a wonderful season when he was selected to officiate at the final of the 2011 European Ladies Snooker Championship held in Bulgaria recently.

A referee for fifteen years, Peter’s selection was the icing on the cake for Wales after Neath’s Daniel Wells won the 2011 European Snooker Championship at the same venue.

Earlier this year he was chosen to referee the final of the Welsh Amateur Championship between Daniel Wells (winner) and David John (Bridgend)

Peter said he was proud to be part of the continuing success of Welsh Snooker at all levels.
