Jamie Clarke was the in form player throughout this first Under 19's event of the season. He made a string of decent breaks along the way and was only really troubled in his first round 2-1 victory over the very dangerous Travis Furnish.

Reigning champion Jamie Clarke defended his title of Welsh under 19s champion, although he was given a fright in round one by Barry's Sam Thomas. After narrowly getting through this match 2 – 1 Jamie hit form and didn't drop another frame on his way to the title, making a string of good breaks along the way.
