Welsh Amateur Event 4 'European' - Important information

With Covid restrictions once again being imposed by the Government, we confirm that under the current guidance we are still able to run the forthcoming Welsh Amateur Ranking Event this weekend.

The current guidance allows for an organised event of 30 people from mixed households. This details be read at THIS LINK.

With the limitation of 30 identified on the Government website at the above link, if more than 30 players enter for Llanelli then we will be required to split the draw and play some matches at Ammanford to ensure that no venue has more than 30 players attending. This will be done after the draw takes place, with Llanelli limited to a total of up to 30 and the split point will ensure that players do not have to travel between venues to play in subsequent rounds. Entrants will be advised on Saturday morning if they need to trave to Ammanford instead of Llanelli.

In relation to COVID testing, we would remind all members that the Welsh Government current guidance for LFT testing (LINK HERE) is that everyone is encouraged to test twice a week and also prior to spending time in an enclosed space.

Whilst we appreciate that the above may be of some inconvenience to some, the alternative is to cancel the events and there are guidelines that we can (and should) operate within that allow the events to be run.

The above is of course subject to change if further restrictions are imposed by Government.
