Become a Coach

  • Are you an experienced Snooker player?
  • Do you think you could pass on your skills and knowledge?
  • Do you want to become a coach?

If you answer yes to the questions above what should you do next?

The Welsh Coaching Foundation is constantly recruiting potential new coaches. New applicants under go an extensive training programme, at the end of which they are assessed and examined by a regional coach/examiner that is trained for this purpose.

When the applicant satisfies his examiner in all necessary coaching criteria he is invited to join the Coaching foundation as a level one coach. He will then complete a one year probationary period during which time he will receive further ongoing training and be continually assessed and monitored by his regional coach. On successful completion of this probationary period the new coach becomes eligible for upgrading.

An accredited W.B.S.A. coach is recognised by both The Welsh Billiards & Snooker Association and The Sports Council for Wales.

Completing the recognised W.B.S.A. Coaching Foundation's training and examination procedure is the only pathway leading to official coach qualification currently available in Wales.
