Welsh Men's European Qualifier

Fresh from winning the European Team Championship John Bevan, David John and Rhydian Richards were in great form at the Trecenydd qualifier for the Men’s European singles event. Bevan was in scintillating form compiling breaks of 78, 45, 80, 91 and 60 in his wins over Ron Allen, Andrew Rogers and Callum Lloyd.

David John beat Bryn Devonald, Edward Topham and Rhydian Richards with  breaks of 72, 81 and 50.

Andrew Isitt turned back the clock a few years to beat three of Wales’s most promising young players Kishan Hirani, Sam Thomas and Welsh Champion Duane Jones.

Callum Lloyd made the highest break of the day with a great run of 111.

Tom Rees, Daniel Norris and Jamie Clarke were the qualifiers at Ammanford Snooker World.

These six players will be joined by the North Wales qualifiers Gareth Allen and Steve Thomas for the finals to be played at Penarth Road Snooker Club, Cardiff on Sunday.

The winner of this event and the highest ranked player after this event will represent Wales at the Men’s European Singles Championship in Poland next month.
