Daniel Wells (Neath) joined Lee Walker at the top of the ranking list when he beat Anthony Krysa (Ammanford) by three frames to two in a tense but exciting final of a high quality tournament at Terry Griffiths's Matchroom.

Wells won tough matches against former Welsh Champion Elfed Evans (N Wales) and Event One winner Lee Walker to reach the final while Krysa defeated Pontins Champion Pete Roscoe and the consistent Welsh International Rhydian Richards.

Best match of the quarter-final was when Lee Walker played former Welsh junior player Richard King (N Wales). Winning the first frame with the aid of a forty eight break Lee required two snookers on the yellow in the second with Richard making a sixty break. After getting the required snookers he dished up to win the frame and then went on to win the third with a total clearance of a hundred and thirty.
