Taubman wins his first Welsh Men's Title!

Alex Taubman (Halkyn, North Wales) won Welsh Men’s Event Three at Penarth Road Snooker Centre, Cardiff beating the ever-consistent Rhydian Richards (Merthyr) by three frames to two in a quality final.

John Bevan (Newport) kept his place at the head of the rankings by reaching the semi-final where he was narrowly defeated by Richards.

Tom Rees (Swansea) missed an easy blue in the third frame to take the lead against Taubman in the other semi-final and was never in the hunt after that.

In March the European Team Championship (3 players) will be held in Serbia.

Event Four will determine the qualifiers to represent Wales at this event.
