Singh wins first Welsh Under 16's Event One
Cardiff's Suraj Singh, the no 1 seed came through to win this event but not before being given a huge fright in his quarter final match with Tom Davies. Tom led 2-0 only for Suraj to show true fighting spirit as he fought back to take the match 3-2 with the aid of a 66 clearance.
Rhydian stringer reached the final after defeating fellow junior international Lewis Samuel in their semi final. However Rhydian could not keep the momentum going in the final as Suraj's all round game enabled him to run out a comfortable 3-1 winner.
