Duane Jones wins Under 21's Ranking Event 2

Duane Jones made it 2 out of 2 at under 21s level when he won this event at Rileys, Wellington S.C.

Duane reached the final after some tough matches against fellow internationals Kishan Hirani and Sam Thomas who had been very impressive in beating former professional Jak Jones and international Edward Topham.

Jamie Clarke reached his second successive under 21s final after battling well to beat the talented but unpredictable Travis Furnish, followed by a fine semi final win over international Tom Rees.

The final between these two outstanding young players was a very entertaining match which started with a 49 break from Jamie, only for Duane to snatch it on the last few colours. Duane was in first in frame two and produced a fine 82 break, just missing the last red with a century beckoning. In frame three Jamie compiled a break of 62 which again could have been more with a bit better run of the ball. Jamie started the next frame well and led by 40 only for Duane to make a superb clearance from the last red to win on the black for his second under 21s victory of the season.
