Welsh Champion Duane Jones wins mens second event

Welsh Champion Duane Jones beat Kishan Hirani by three frames to one to win Men’s Event Two at Pockets Snooker Club, Newport.

Jones was in irresistible form all day compiling breaks of 118 and 43 against former Welsh Champion Elfed Evans, 46, 45 and 81 against Event One winner John Bevan and ended with 51 and 122 in the final.

Hirani made 68 against Thomas Davie, another 68 with 80 to beat Kristian Phelps and 49 in the final.
