Bevan again in great forming qualifying for Event two finals

Men’s Event One winner John Bevan (Newport) was in great form easily qualifying for the finals of Event Two.

David Hard (Newport) hammered former Welsh Champion Andrew Pagett but then came unstuck against surprise qualifier Thomas Davie from Barry.

Third qualifier from the East zone Kishan Hirani (Cardiff) beat Byron Sage and Chris Richards.

Snookerworld Ammanford was the venue for the West zone qualifiers where the highlight was the match between David John (Bridgend) and Daniel Norris (Aberdare). Former European Champion compiled breaks of 104, 41 and 60 but was still beaten by Norris who edged home with a break of 62.

Neath’s Gavin Lewis qualified again with wins over Ben Jones, Marcel Price and Simon Williams. Welsh Champion Duane Jones qualified without dropping a frame and looks the favourite to win the event.
