Tyler Rees wins Under 19's Ranking Event 1

The ever improving Tyler Rees (Llanelli) won the first under 19s event of the season in fine style beating a string of international players on his way to the final where he defeated the much more experienced Callum Lloyd (Newport).

Callum had a very impressive 3 – 0 victory over tournament favourite Tom Rees in their semi final but seemed to run out of steam and could not produce the same kind of form in the final.

Highest reported breaks on the day were Tom Rees 87 and Suraj Singh 64.

The Under 19s seems to be wide open this year with several of last season's top player's now to old.

Many promising young player's must fancy their chances of earning a place in the Welsh squad. These include promising Jack Martin, Macauley Cole, Nathan Humphries and Lewis Burke to name just a few.
