Letter from the Chairman of the WBSA

The 2012-13 snooker season is here so good luck to you all.

Today there are more Welsh players on the Main Tour than ever and each one started their career playing in our events.

This season there are thirty tournaments arranged for YOU.

I urge all parents to enter their children into the sixteen junior events because they are the future of Welsh snooker.

Membership forms, Entry forms and a Calendar of Events are now available on the website.

Four of the Men’s, Masters and Under 21s events are played in the first half of the season to obtain qualifiers for the European Team Championships and European Under 21s which are held in March.

Due to the current economic climate we cannot guarantee receiving future grants and sponsorship. Because of this the Association has made some difficult but necessary decisions regarding its finances. The Membership fee is increased to £20 and the payment of prize money has been suspended. Trophies will still be presented to all winners and there is still a discount of £15 to Men and Masters who enter all six of their tournaments in advance.
