World Team Championships - Egypt Sharm el-Sheikh 2014

Evans and Morgan are World Champions

Elfed Evans (Pwllheli) and Darren Morgan (Newbridge) won the 2014 IBSF World Masters (over 40's) Team Snooker Championship for Wales at Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

The Welsh pair hammered 1993 World Amateur Champion Chuchart Trairattanapradit and 2013 World Masters Champion Phisit Chandrsi from Thailand by five frames to nil in the final with Elfed rowing in with a fine break of 100 in frame four. After easing through the round robin stages wales gained four frames to one victories over ireland in the quarter-final and Afghanistan in the semi-final and then produced their best form in the final.

In the Men's Championship Wales's Jamie Clarke (Llanelli) and Gareth Allen (Ewloe Green) progressed comfortably to the semi-final where they narrowly lost out to eventual winners Hong Kong.
