Darren Morgan wins Welsh Masters European 2014

Darren Morgan won the W.B.S.A. European Masters event at Brackla Snooker Club in Bridgend beating Welsh number one Elfed Evans by three frames to one in the final.

Morgan got to the final with wins over David Hooper and Darryl James and Byron Phillips.

Evans made fabulous breaks of 93 and 100 against Jon Perring before scraping home in the deciding frame against Simon Williams in the quarter-final. Gavin Lewis then gave the North Walian a tough match in the semi-final.

Williams and James produced good form on their Masters debuts.
