Ryan Rowlands (Barry) wins his first Under 19's event

After several near misses Ryan Rowlands (Barry) finally broke his duck as he won his first ranking event by defeating Tyler Rees in a very close final.

Ryan reached the final without dropping a frame including an impressive semi final triumph over junior international Jack Martin.

Tyler reached his 3rd consecutive Under 19's final with a win over the in form Jackson Page in their semi final.

The final was somewhat scrappy with both players potting a few and missing a few. This made it difficult to pick an eventual winner, however in the final frame Tyler led by 20 points on the yellow and looked to be a strong favourite, but an unusual loose safety shot let in Ryan who produced a superb colours clearance for his first ranking event win.

Tyler Rees retains his no. 1 spot on the under 19s ranking list with Ryan Rowlands in second place.

Top six places after 3 event are:-

  1. Tyler Rees 700 points
  2. Ryan Rowlands 550
  3. Callum Lloyd 380
  4. Jack Martin 360
  5. Jordan Bowd 310
  6. Rhys Thomas 260
