Welsh Men's Event Three - Qualifiers

Welsh Men's event three produced a couple of great matches, notably, Rhydian Richards's three frames to one win over Welsh Champion David John and Lee Walker's gutsy final frame defeat of Jamie Clarke.

Resurgent David Donovan was in very good form at Redz Snooker Club, Cwmbran where he qualified for the quarter-finals without dropping a frame.

Event Two finalist Mark Stoneman reached the last eight with wins over Ed Topham and Tom Davie.

T.G. Matchroom owner Craig Price combined home advantage and great match experience to gain creditable final-frame wins over the consistent Ross Jones and talented youngster Tom Rees.

Duane Jones was the other qualifier with comfortable wins over Dean Thomas and Lee Niblett.

The above six winners will be joined by North Wales qualifiers Gareth Allen and Alex Taubman in next Sunday morning's finals at Snooker World, Ammanford commencing at ten thirty.
