Clarke triumphs in Welsh Under 21 event 3

Jamie Clarke joins Tom Rees at the top of the ranking list after beating him three frames to nil in the final of the third Under 21s event of the season held at the Snooker World in Ammanford.

The conditions were excellent and several high breaks were compiled during the day.

Earlier, Jamie had compiled a fabulous total clearance of 132 against a very promising thirteen years old, Jackson Page.

Another rising star, Tyler Rees (15), reached the semi-finals with wins over Lewis Butcher and junior international Daniel WIlliams.

Callum Lloyd beat Dale Hughes and Sam Thomas to get to the other semi-final.

A break of 67 gave Jamie the first frame in the final. Tom looked like levelling in frame two, but a great clearance of 52 from his opponent was enough to secure the frame. In frame three, a run of 43 gave The Bullet a decent lead again, but it was Jamie that completed the whitewash victory with a clearance of 37.
