Jack Martin wins Welsh Under 14's Championship

Jack Martin (Swansea) won this final Under 14s event of the season to take the title of Welsh Under 14's Champion.

Throughout the season Jack has shown undoupted talent but was not quite able to produce it on the day. This time however, he came good to come through some tough matches against internationals Suraj Singh and Lewis Samuel to reach the final.

Another junior international Tyler Rees came through the other half of the draw beating the improving Llewys Graham and the very dangerous Jackson Page.

In the final Jack held his game together to defeat the slightly more experienced Tyler in an excellent close fought match.

The plate competition was won by Daniel Lonegan who defeated Thomas Collins 2-0 in the final.

With Suraj Singh, Rhydian Stringer and Lewis Samuel already qualified for the under 16s team, the Under 14s Welsh team to face Republic of Ireland in the Celtic challenge will be.
