Welsh Masters Event 4 European - Results

There was a feeling of déjà vu when former team mates and old rivals Darren Morgan and Phil Williams squared up in the final of the 2016 Masters European qualifying event held at Brackla Snooker Club.

The two former World Champions had not played each other for four years so it promised to be a tense affair.

After mugging Williams on the black in the first two frames Morgan won the match three nil.

On his way to the final Morgan brushed aside John Terry, Tim James and Elfed Evans only dropping one frame in the process.

On the other hand Williams who was short of match practice was made to work very hard by Alun Squire, Gavin Lewis, Andrew Isitt and Steve Thomas who made the highest break of the day with a run of ninety six.

Photographs of the day, courtesay of David Williams, will be published shortly
