EBSA 2016 - Team Championship Day 2

Day 2 of the Team Championships has gone pretty well for the Welsh contingent.

Alex Taubman and Andrew Pagett had two matches. First up were Lithuania 4 who were dismissed 5-0, with Alex compiling a 78 in the first frame. Later in the day Poland 3 were the opponents, who were able to take one frame in the encounter. 4-1 and current first place in Group C for Wales 1. Jordan Steins and Keith Thomas faced Albania 2 this afternoon and ran out 4-1 winners, lifting them to second in Group E.

In the Masters Group A, Darren Morgan and Ian Sargeant trounced Israel 2 by 5 frames to nil, comprehensively outscoring their opponents and cementing their position at the top of the group. Jon Perring and Wayne Morgan came off second best to Ireland 2 in Group E. However they will take heart from the closeness of the frames they lost and line up second in their group after the 2-3 defeat and are tied on frames won with group leaders Ireland 2..
