HIBSF Home Internationals 2016 - Saturday Lunch

It has been a tough day so far for some of the Welsh Players, with others enjoying notable success.

Wales A (Alex Taubman, Andrew Pagett, Rhydian Richards and Jack Bradford) opened the Tournament last night with an accomplished 9-3 win over Northern Ireland, with both Alex and Andrew enjoying 3-0 wins. Wales B (Mike Dorey, Jamie Clarke, Tom Rees and Richard King) however found themselves up against a strong Scotland side, losing out 3-9. Wales A have two more matches today, Guernsey at 4pm and England at 6.

Both Masters sides have had 2 games so far. Gavin Lewis, Elfed Evans, Steven Thomas and Darryl James as Wales A saw off last year's champions England A in fine style 8-4 and went one better in their second match, 9-3 the result against Scotland B. Wales B (Jon Perring, John Griffiths, David Parker and Simon Williams) drew their opening match against England B and were narrowly beaten 7-5 by the Republic of Ireland. Wales A face England B at 4pm, Wales B line up against Scotland B at 6pm.
