HIBSF Home Internationals 2016 - U16s and U21s Update

The boys have been in action quite a bit over the last day.

The Under 16 team of Dylan Emery, Callum Matthews, Alfie Davies and Brad Ferguson have made a great start, beating Republic of Ireland 9-3, Belgium 8-4 and Northern Ireland 11-1 to head the table. Dylan heads the stats table winning 8 of 9 frames, Alfie lies third also with 8/9, but averaging 2 points less scored. Callum is 7/9 and fourth in the standings, Bradley is 7th with 5/9. Dylan is also top of the breaks table with a 72 and Callum joint second on 52. This afternoon they face England B.

The Under 21s find themselves joint second in the table. Their opening match with Republic of Ireland was a 6-6 draw, but they have followed that up with two fine 9-3 wins over Belgium and Northern Ireland. Tyler Rees tops the player stats having won 8 of 9 frames, including a break of 103. Rhys Thomas is 11th with 6/9, Jackson Page just one point behind Rhys in 12th also with 6/9. Ryan Rowlands is 16th having won 4/9, but notably has been pushing his opponents close in the 5 frames he's lost, winning the others by a much bigger margin. England are the opponents at tea time today.
