Under 21s Event Three - Results
Tyler Rees who has not enjoyed much good form of late, finally came good to win this 3rd under 21s event of the season.
Unseeded for this event, he met the in form no. 2 seed Jackson Page in round two securing an excellent 3-1 win before another good 3-0 result over the dangerous Ben Fortey put him into the final.
No. 1 seed Dylan Emery came through the top half of the draw to reach the final with a 3 - 0 win over Daniel Williams who had compiled a superb 80 break in the deciding frame of his quarter final against Callum Mattherws.
The final also went to the deciding frame. Dylan was dominant, potting some outrageous balls but Tyler kept hanging on in there. Dylan was again first to get among the balls in the decider but just when it looked as though he was on his way to victory he called a foul on himself when bridging over some reds to pot the black. this led to Tyler making a break of 38 which eventually saw him over the line for the match.
A great return to winning ways for Tyler and great sportsmanship by Dylan. Well done to both players.
