IBSF World Mens and Masters Championships 2016 - Thursday

Today saw the completion of the Mens groups, with only Rhydian Richards in action. Breaks of 104 and 119 in his opening two frames laid the foundations of a comfortable 4-0 victory.

Jamie Clarke finished as number 1 seed and will play his next knock-out match tomorrow at 4pm UK time. Andrew Pagett topped his group and made 26th seed and faces Ahmed Saif tomorrow at 1pm UK. Rhydian (#29) faces young Russian Ivan Kakovsky tomorrow, whilst Alex Taubman (#35) lines up against Babar Masih of Pakistan, both of these matches on at 4pm UK time.

In the Masters, Darren Morgan was again in fine form and dealt out a lesson in break building (52 and 77 in frame 1, 90 in frame 2) to his Belgian opponent, winning 3-0. Despite having two days between matches, Steven Thomas hadn't forgotten which end of his cue was the business end, a 3-1 win the reward for his patience.

Steven completes his Group matches at 10am UK time on Friday.
