Welsh Open Wildcard Entries - 2018 and onwards
Following discussions with World Snooker regarding the two allocated wildcard entries for the Home Nations Series Welsh Open, it has been decided that the wildcard entries for 2018 and beyond will be selected based on the following criteria: -
- The reigning Welsh Amateur Champion
- The number 1 ranked player at the end of the previous season.
As you can all appreciate, this provides a great incentive for players and the reward speaks for itself. For that very reason, we are informing all players of this in advance of the start of next season, so that those who feel they are in with a shout can ensure they enter the Mens tournament class at the outset.
