Mens Event Four Jack Carney Finals Result

The Matchroom, Llanelli was again the meeting point for the eight qualifiers from the regional rounds for Mens Event Four, the Jack Carney Memorial Event.

In the top half of the draw, number one seed Kishan Hirani found Rhydian Richards back up to his gritty best, with Rhydian making it through 3-2. Jackson Page proved too good on the day for Brad Ferguson, who was making his first Quarter Finals appearance after coming close twice in the last 5 tournaments. Jackson ran out a 3-0 winner over his fellow high-schooler. The semi final was taken to a decider, Jackson seeing off the vastly more experienced Rhydian 3-2.

The bottom half of the draw saw Andrew Pagett draw Jamie Clarke. With a 3-1 win, Andrew made up for his defeat in their Welsh Championship clash earlier this month. Alex Taubman and Nathan Davenport faced off against each other in the final match. Nathan took this one 3-1. This semi final also went to the wire, Nathan booked his third consecutive final edging the match against Andrew 3-2.

The final saw both players come out with something positive from the day. Jackson tied up the event with a 3-0 win, but Nathan's consistency has put him to the top of the ranking list, 10 points clear of Jackson with one event to go.
