IBSF 2017 - World 6 Reds - Result

Darren Morgan has successfully defended his World 6 Reds title in Egypt today, winning 6-4 in the final.

Breaks of 61, 60, 60, 45 and 30 were enough to keep his opponent Kamal Chawla at bay, although Kamal kept the match close throughout, levelling to 4-4 from 4-2 down.

The Welsh entry of Alex Taubman, Andrew Pagett, Darren Morgan, Keith Thomas, Martin Williams and Wayne Morgan had a strong group stage, however Keith and Martin were unable to progress to the knockout stages. Alex found Maltese Brian Cini in scintilating form in the last 64 and was not left any chances to show his potential.

Andrew looked to be heading through to the last 16, but Saleh Mohammadi dug deep to come back from the brink of defeat to snatch the tie 4-3. A tough draw for Wayne had him up against Pankaj Advani in the last 32, 1-4 the final result.
