Under 16s Event One - Results
11 entries on the day to start the season. The early rounds produced no shocks as the most experienced players progressed through to the Semi-Final stages. Both Semi-Finals were hard fought and close which shows how evenly matched the last four are for the future events. The Final between Rhys Morgans and Ryan Bowgen was as close as expected, with Ryan taking the lead in each frame early on, but Rhys refused to fold and took 2 frames on the black to force a decider. The final frame was controlled completely by Rhys to end a very competitive tounament.
The Plate competition payed down to a Final contested by Oliver Briffet-Payne and Oliver Bridle. Oliver Briffett -Payne produced the highest break of the day of 51 on his way to the Final. He then went on to win the Final 2 frames to nil. If he continues to show such good form he will surely be someone to look out for later in the season.
