Under 14s Championship

Darren Morgan was there to welcome the Under 14s to the Red Triangle for their final ranking event of the season.

Eight players were present, the ninth, Harrison Wood, could not make it due to being unwell.
The seeded players were Liam Davies and Oliver Briffett Payne.

As ever, the effort by all players was excellent, showing standards of performance worthy of an older age group. Great safety play and good potting ability was evident from all players. However, it was Liam Davies and Oliver Briffett Payne who reached the final. Liam started the final well with a break of 39 in the first frame and a 25 in the second to lead 2 - 0. Oliver responded  in the third and looked as though he would win the frame as with the colours remaining, Liam needed a snooker. Liam however was successful, achieved the snooker and cleared , somewhat nervously, to win by one point.

Final score: - Liam Davies 3-0 Olive Briffett Payne

The Plate final was between Ryan Davies (brother of Liam) and Oliver Phillips, son of the old man from the Masters, Byron Phillips. Ryan trailed 1 - 0 but won the final two frames to win the Plate trophy for the first time this season. Well done Ryan/ Well done all!

Thanks to Darren Morgan for allowing the event to be held at his club.
