Under 21s Championship - Results

Fourteen entries meant two byes and six matches. The closest match of the first round was Conor Caniff against Rhys Morgans with Conor taking the final frame.  Dylan Emery got to the semi finals with a straight frames win over third ranked Callum Matthews. Conor Caniff won 3 nil against the up and coming Liam Davies while Alfie had a hard fought battle to win on a respotted black in the deciding frame against Lewys Smith. Jackson Page completed the semi final line up again with a close enconter edging out defending champion Tyler Rees 3 -2.

In the semi final Jackson lost the first frame but won the next 3 to beat Conor 3 -1. Dylan and Alfie's match was a very good encounter with the lead changing twice before Dylan took blue and pink in the final frame to clinch his place in the final.  The final proved to be an excellent match between two of our top young players with hgh quality potting and safety play. Jackson took the first frame with a break of 36 and Dylan quickly responded with a break of 51 in frame 2. Dylan made a break of 38 to help take frame 3 before Jackson made a 63 break in the fourth. Despite being some 40 odd points behind and needing penatly points Dylan fought back and was unluck to lose the frame on the black.

In the deciding frame Dylan continued his good potting and went 36 points up but with 6 reds left Jackson made a first class break of 70 to clinch the title.
