EBSA Masters 2018

Darren Morgan has retained his EBSA Masters title yet again, following a 4-2 win over John Farrell of the Republic of Ireland

Darren's passage through the competition had been relatively straightforward, with 4-0 victories in all his knockout matches. John took the opening frame of the final, only for Darren to run in a 50 to take the second frame. The third went to the Welshman too, but John levelled the match at the interval.

As is often the case, the interval can work markedly for or against a player. Darren came out fighting, a 54 on what we are reliably informed are VERY tight tables underlining his strength on the day. It therefore came as no surprise that he also took frame 6 to seal the title.
