After the first full day of competition in this year's Home Internationals, the Welsh find themselves riding high in both Mens and Masters competitions.

In the Mens panel, the Welsh team of Alex Taubman, Jack Bradford, Jackson Page and Tyler Rees top the table and occupy 4 of the top 5 sports in the player rankings tables. On top of this, Tyler is sitting second in the breaks table after a fine 94 in his opening match. Their league position comes courtesay of wins over England (9-3), Isle of Man (11-1) and Scotland (11-1)

The Masters team of Gavin Lewis, Jason Tucker, Steve Thomas and Wayne Morgan are second in the rankings after two wins from 2, but England above them have drawn a match already. Scotland were tough opponenets for a 7-5 win, but 10-2 against the Isle of Man has put them back on track. Jason has been in magnificent form, dropping one frame so far and averaging over 80 points a frame. Steve Thomas tops the breaks table with 95.

Tomorrow's Mens match is a tough one against the Republic of Ireland at 10am, with the Masters playing both England teams at 10am (B) and 4pm (A). All of these matches will have a significant bearing on the final outcome.
