Results - Masters Event 1

As ever, the Masters always starts in some style, such is the depth of matchplay experience on show. Redz tables were,as ever, match fit and the breaks kept coming. Alan Hurley was first out of the blocks with 128 and the days highest break, whilst Darren Morgan had sunk a 116 and a 124 by the end of round 2

Some wonderfully tight matches played out behind the scenes, Dean Thomas taking Emyr Humphries to a decider as did Simon Williams against eventual finalist Wayne Morgan. Darren Morgan kept a clean sheet in his run to the final, clearly on form.

Fittingly, the final was between the Morgan brothers. Whilst Wayne did take one frame, Darren kept his head and ran out a 3-1 winner, with a 121 adding another fine break to the day's play
