Under 21s Event 2

Red Triangle played host to the second event of the Under 21s calendar for this year.

A field of twelve met up and the four preliminaries got underway promptly. Rhys Morgans and Jackson Page both saw off their opposition 3-0, whilst Tyler Rees and Alfie Davies were 3-1 winners, Alfie bagging a 62 in the process.

En route to the final, Alfie didn't drop any further frames, taking advantage of any opening his quarter-final and semi final opponents Dylan Emery and Rhys Morgans left him, booking his place very comfortably.

In the bottom half of the draw, Jackson defeated Liam Davies 3-0 and found himself in a tough tussle with Tyler Rees, Tyler making the days highest break of 80 before Jackson struck back with a 62, taking the semi final 3 frames to 1.

In the final, Alfie wasn't able to make the same impact as he had done all day and although he opened up an early 20 point lead in the first frame of the final, a timely 52 from Jackson got him just into 'snookers required' territory and despite Alfie's valiant efforts, the frame went to Jackson. The following two frames were even tougher for Alfie, with Jackson slowly edging away in both for a 3-0 win
