Masters Event 3

Event 3 in the Masters category took place in Llanelli with 28 players on the day.

The match up of the first round was between Gavin Lewis and Rhydian Richards who edged the match 3 frames to 2 compiling a fine 78 break on the way. Round 2 provided two very close matches with Jason Tucker narrowly beating Dean Thomas and Don Newcombe beating Mark Fenton both 3 frames to 2. Don Newcombe continued in to the Semi Finals where he was eventually beaten 3 frames to 2 by Matthew Farrant who triumphed from 2 frames down to move in to the final, where he met Darren Morgan. Through the whole tournament Darren had showed his consistancy, only dropping one frame, to Steven Thomas, all day on his path to the final .

The final proved to be one sided with Darren Morgan compiling two 50+ breaks and a fine 61 in the third frame to take the match 3 frames to nil.
