IBSF World Team 2018

Four players headed off to Egypt to compete in the IBSF World Team Competition.

Wales 1 where Ben Fortey and Matthew Roberts, who managed to win 2 of their 4 group matches but in an unusual turn up, no team finished unbeaten and despit being 2 from 3, Ben and Matt finished 3rd and did not progress to the knockout stages.

Andrew Pagett and Darren Morgan competed as Wales 2, making their way through to the last 16 finishing their Group 2 wins from 3. Their Last 16 match against Saudi Arabia was quite a match, with Andrew taking the opening frame aided by a 90 break,Darren taking the second by the brown, only for the opposition to take the third (the doubles) with a fine 121 break. Another two frames went Darren and Andrew's way though, a fine 4-1 win. Unfortunately though, Hing Kong 3 proved to be in fine form and Andrew/Darren bowed out of the competition in the quarter finals/
