Welsh Amateur Ranking Event 1 - Results

The retitled Welsh Amateur Ranking series got underway recently, with the finals being completed last weekend.

In the North, Jack Bradford, Elfed Evans and matthew Roberts made their way through a field of 27 players to the quarter finals with strong wins, with only Matt dropping more than one frame on the way, possibly a result of birthday celebrations.

South Wales played at a single venue, with 44 players gathered at the Matchroom Llanelli. David Donovan, Thomas Lancastle, Ben frotey, Callum Lloyd and Dylan Emery came through relatively unscathed to book their places at Red Triangle for the finals.

David will count himself unlucky to lose to Elfed at the quarter finals stage, going down 2-3. Matthew saw off Thomas 3-1, Dylan was imperios against Jack (3-0) and Ben beat Callum 3-1 to reach the semis.

Elfed ran out a 3-0 winner over Matt, but Ben vs Dylan was a tight and cagey affair, Ben taking the tie 3-2.

In the final, the potting postman ran out a 3-1 winner
