Once again it was Wales top two under 21s players who dominated this event. Dylan Emery started like a train disposing of the very capable Connor Canif 3-0 with breaks of 67,101 and 70. He then saw off Bradley Tyson 3-0 before a 3-1 win over Alfie Davies which included a magnificent total clearance of 127 put him into the final.

Tyler Rees reached the final without dropping a frame, although his semi final against Wales outstanding young prospect Liam Davies was much closer than the 3-0 scoreline suggests. Tyler compiled excellent breaks of 92, 93 and 105 in his earlier rounds.

The final looked like being short and sweet as Dylan raced into a 2-0 lead with breaks of 83 and 64. However, back came Tyler to level at 2-2.The deciding frame started with Dylan potting a superb long red to get in, only for him to break down on 21. Tyler then stepped in with an outstanding break of 102 to take the match. His second under 21s victory of the season.
