WPBSA Welsh Open WIldcards
Following on from recent communications with the WPBSA, we have been formally informed of the criteria for future nominations for Welsh Open Wildcards with WPBSA and WST.
The information we have received from the WPBSA is provided below and clearly defines the criteria they expect us to follow.
The players selected must:
• be in good standing with their National Federation.
• be under 21 (or been under 21 when playing in a qualifying event in previous season)
• nominated through winning or being successful in a National Federation junior age event – this can be either knockout competition or ranking series/list. (For example, U21 Championship, Number 1 on the U18 Ranking list or be an outstanding performer at a regional/Home Nations event)
• be looking to have a career in snooker and committed to obtaining a tour card for the World Snooker Tour in the future.
A copy of the information received has been provided below, with the email addresses removed.
