Wales "A" won the coveted Seniors title the"Prince of Wales Shield" at the Home Internationals for the secondtime in three years in Leeds. Wales won 5 out of their 6 matches only losing to Wales "B".

It was a young Wales "A" team all in their Teens and Twenties.

The Team gelled together from the first match and raised their performances throughout the week.

There were some nail biting matches with England, and the final match with Scotland was a tense affair. Wales "A" needing to win to secure the title outright without having to rely on frame count back.

Duane Jones an excellent captain (a new role for him), played a vital part in winning the final frame against Scotland in securing the Home International title.
