Juniors Weeknd #2
The second juniors event of this season took place over the 14/15th October in Amlwch, North Wales.
The Saturday saw a new Under 14s champion in the shape of Joel Williams, who beat Reuben Gingell 3-1 in the final. The Under 18s final was once again contested by Sion Stuart and Riley Powell, with Riley rinning out a 3-1 winner.
Sunday was the turn of the Under 16s and Under 21s. The day was a long one as Sion Stuart progressed to the latter stages of each competition and faced regular opponent Jay Vokes in the final, Sion taking the spoils with a 48 in the opening frame, 3-0 the scoreline.
The Under 21s didn't fail to live up to expectations as several players played their best snooker of the weekend. Oliver Briffett-Payne and Liam Davies contested the final, with Oliver taking the opening frame 69-0 with a timely 49. Liam took the next two with breaks of 75 and 50 before Ollie levelled the match with a 54 in frame 4. Liam edged away slowly in the final frame, running out a 3-2 winner.
